Hannah Arcega RN, BN

Lead Practitioner and Founder

“First and foremost, I have the client's safety in mind while helping them reach their full beauty potential”

With over 20 years of full time experience as a provider in aesthetic medicine, Hannah enjoys guiding patients through their individual aesthetic journey with a constant goal to maintain natural, beautiful results.  Hannah maintains a high level of expertise by upgrading skills and knowledge through training with leading educators in the industry. She is the lead practitioner at Thermae Advanced Aesthetics, Calgary’s longest standing medical aesthetic clinic since 2002. 

Prior to building the Thermae brand, Hannah enjoyed working in paediatric ICU at Alberta Children’s Hospital for 8 years, followed by a five year practice in a dermatology centre where she was  introduced to skin therapies, cosmetic lasers, and was hired to launch the aesthetic department for the centre. 

Aside from mentoring her team at Thermae and providing care for her own loyal clientele, Hannah is an industry trainer offering small group and one-on-one workshops for medical professionals.  She has been a faculty member at CAMA (Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics) and has extensive experience mentoring and training colleagues through the years. Hannah offers private trainings at Thermae for licensed medical professionals wishing to embark on aesthetic medicine. 

Hannah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Calgary, and has attended numerous advanced aesthetic trainings herself throughout the years.  This past year, she has completed a Masterclass in Facial Anatomy and Complications at the Royal Surgeons of Edinburgh; has trained with Julie Bass Kaplan on cadaver and ultrasound; and ultrasound training with Dr. John Arlette. She has also completed training at the Swiss Aesthetic Institute in Switzerland in 2022, to add to a long list of ongoing educational events and private trainings  attended globally throughout the years. 

 

 

Dr. Scott Forsyth

Thermae’s Medical Director is Dr. Scott Forsyth.

As a graduate of both Law School and Medical School from the University of Calgary, Scott has incorporated his legal background with community family medical practice as a former board director and chair of the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network - a non-profit corporation composed of over 500 family physicians and 150 medical clinics.

Dr. Forsyth is founder of Calgary’s Oakbay Medical Center where he has practiced Family Medicine for over 20 years.

Outside of medicine Scott pursues his passion for photography as Canadian Geographic Photographer-in-Residence and author for Rocky Mountain Books.

 

 

Hamida Borhot RN, BN

Nurse Associate

Hamida has over 15 years of hospital experience as an RN in the areas of ICU, CCU and Respiratory Internal Medicine. Her longtime love for art and aesthetic nursing led her to achieving certification in Advanced Techniques in Neuromodulators and Fillers with CAMA (Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics).

Peggy Parsai

Advanced Medical Aesthetician

Peggy has been in the skincare field since 2015 and has enjoyed every moment of it. She thrives in being able to create a customized plan for your needs and look’s at building up your skin strength, balancing your energy and managing all your internal and external organs to result in glowing skin. What she provides is a perfect marriage of Western science and holistic treatments.

Peggy adds in holistic and energy healing to most of her treatments to balance her client's moods. She strongly believes in Chinese medicine and east Indians approach to beauty since they have such amazing results, she loves to chat about them with her clients to explain why they will be beneficial to your facial and customize it towards you.  

She graduated from The Esthetic Institute school in Calgary from the Medical Aesthetician program to be able to work in the aesthetics industry. She also completed training in the United States for reflexology, and studied and perfected a scalp treatment that has been practiced in India for thousands of years.

 

 

Shannon Crampton, BA

With many years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry, Shannon is passionate about aging gracefully. She values the importance of the highly skilled people around her as well as the quality of the services offered. As a valued team member at Thermae, she oversees day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and client relations. Shannon is dedicated to customer service, continued growth and excellence in the field of aesthetics.

Outside of work she enjoys family time, traveling, skiing and anything outdoors.
